LITERACY PROGRAM

Building a better future does not only depend on raising our children and saving our environment, it depends on the success of everyone. “Everyone” includes the success of adults who are unable to read.

Perhaps you are one of these adults searching for an answer or maybe you are a volunteer willing to share your time and reading skills. No matter who you are, we have room for you here in our family.

We are in need of volunteers! As a volunteer, you will not only share our social calendar of interactive dances, games and museum tours, you will give to yourself by giving to others. An adult feels a sense of accomplishment when he or she reads at their intended level. It is a feeling so strong that they will want to share it with you, their mentor.

When you receive the Thank You letter from your adult-student, who has found a job that requires solid literacy, you will cherish YOUR sense of accomplishment.
